The BBC will record its major news podcasts live in front of audiences for the first time at a new event in April.
Castfest takes place on 25 April at Maida Vale Studios, giving listeners direct access to shows including Newscast, Americast, The Global Story, Fame Under Fire and Top Comment.
Audiences will be able to watch recordings as they happen, as well as take part in question and answer sessions and meet presenters.
The event will also offer a behind the scenes look at how BBC News podcasts are made, alongside opportunities for visitors to record their own short podcast segments.
Presenters confirmed include Adam Fleming, Laura Kuenssberg, Chris Mason, Paddy O’Connell and Henry Zeffman for Newscast.
Americast will feature Sarah Smith, Marianna Spring, Justin Webb and Anthony Zurcher, while other shows bring together Asma Khalid, Tristan Redman, Anoushka Mutanda Dougherty and Matt Shea.
The BBC says additional guests will appear across the day as part of the schedule, expanding the range of voices involved in the event.
Emma Rippon, Head of Journalism at BBC News Long Form Audio, said: “Castfest is a chance to showcase the incredible range of podcasts produced by BBC News and to celebrate the growing community of listeners across the UK and beyond.
“We’re really excited to open the doors to Maida Vale and give audiences a rare glimpse behind the scenes and the chance to meet the podcast teams who bring these stories to life.”
