Canadian satirical news site The Beaverton’s podcast returns

The Beaverton, the Canadian satirical news site, is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year with the return of its podcast, The Beaverton Weekly Report.

Beginning as a news satire and parody publication in 2010, The Beaverton became a viral machine that sends up the absurd in all things politics, pop culture, and current events.

Luke Gordon Field, Editor-In-Chief of The Beaverton says: “Surviving this long in the brutally tough digital media industry is an accomplishment I can only credit to our writers’ brilliance, our fans’ loyalty, and a deal I made with a hooded stranger I met at a crossroads one night, and who I’m starting to suspect was not entirely human.

“We may have been an unintentional non-profit for the last 15 years but the support of our readers and Patreon subscribers allows us to continue to be jerks to the right people with biting satire on the site and the new podcast.”

The Beaverton Weekly Report podcast will be a hilarious look at what’s going on in the world. Every Wednesday Luke Gordon Field will assemble an all-star panel of comedians to talk, mock and riff their way through the news of the week.

Their knowledge of the news will then be put to the test in a very important quiz where the stakes couldn’t be lower!

The podcast will include fan favourite writers such as Ian MacIntyre, Clare Blackwood, Nile Seguin, and surprise special guests. Patreon members will receive an exclusive story from every podcast episode.

The Beaverton Weekly Report podcast launches 19 March, available wherever you get your podcasts
