Comedy podcast That Was Wild relaunches with new format

That Was Wild, which is known for its outlandish stories, is relaunching with a revamped format and first guest, actor Joey Bragg.

Hosted by comedian and viral content creator Adam Macias, the new format brings Adam’s unique storytelling to a podcast where the unexpected is the norm.

In addition to wild news stories from around the world, there’s also a spontaneous game segment called ‘Wildcard’, and outrageous stories from unpredictable strangers on the internet.

The relaunch begins with actor Joey Bragg discussing the intense pressures of his childhood acting career on Disney’s Liv and Maddie, including a shocking audition story.

This episode connects with current discussions around child actors’ welfare, especially following the revelations from the Quiet On Set documentary, which investigated the dark side of kid’s TV.

With a track record of turning news into comedy gold as the brains behind The Daily Misinformer and shaping popular podcasts like Sofia with an F and Dana Carvey and David Spade’s Fly On the Wall, Adam Macias has spent a decade mastering the art of wild storytelling.

His audio work has been recognized with nominations from the Los Angeles Ovation Awards and even a congressional recognition of excellence from the United States Congress.

Questions asked might be what would you do if you woke up in Japan and had no idea how you got there or if you found out your dad was a terrorist?

Whether it’s a celebrity guest or an everyday person, each story is a comedic journey through the ridiculous and the remarkable.

Upcoming episodes feature Jonathan Cooke, a popular Sci-fi Book YouTuber, and Teresa Lo, a Penthouse writer and adult film director.

That Was Wild is available every Friday on all podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Amazon Music.
