Daily silly new podcast for the family launched by Samantha Baines
Samantha Baines has launched a new daily podcast, Silly News, which is just one minute long.
As heard on BBC Radio London, the content is family-friendly, hilarious, strange and wonderful real-life news from across the globe. It’s a news show to raise smiles and safe to listen to with children, friends of all ages and even grandma!
“I hope this new podcast makes people giggle and starts silly conversations,” says Samantha. “Would you wear a scarf made out of dog hair? It is also short enough to fit into ANY length family/school commute – the podcast not the scarf!”
Samantha Baines is well known to the podcast world with two podcast awards, ten award nominations and half a million listens for her independent podcast The Divorce Social.
She is a freelance presenter on The One Show, BBC Morning Live, BBC Radio London, Virgin Radio and Rip Off Britain. She is also an author of three books (including two children’s books with deaf protagonists) AND an actress in shows like The Crown, Call the Midwife and Silent Witness as well as Romesh Ranganathan’s sitcom Avoidance.
Samantha is a hearing aid wearer, lipreader and ambassador for the Royal National Institute for Deaf People and is very excited about Apple’s new timed podcast transcripts available in the app: “It’s time people had even more access to the news that really doesn’t matter,” she says.
Silly News with Samantha Baines is available to listen daily!
