A new interview podcast exploring leadership inside the global wealth industry has launched, hosted by investment management platform, Ethic co-founder and chief executive Doug Scott.
Work Ethic is a video interview podcast series featuring conversations with chief executives, founders and innovators working across wealth management, asset management and financial technology.
Filmed at Ethic’s virtual production studio in New York City, the series focuses on how leaders are navigating significant change in financial services.
The global asset and wealth management industry is projected to grow from around $140 trillion today to $200 trillion by 2030, while firms face pressure around efficiency, profitability and shifting client expectations.
The podcast centres on leadership stories from those building and running financial firms during this period of change. Guests discuss the realities of scaling businesses, guiding established institutions through transition, and adapting to new innovation across the sector.
Season one includes interviews with senior figures from firms including State Street Investment Management, Caprock, Lifeworks, Corient, Verita and Aaron Wealth, alongside executives from across the wider fintech and wealth ecosystem.
Across the series, episodes examine how leaders founded and grew companies, how established organisations evolve, and how firms maintain trust with clients during changing market conditions.
Doug Scott said the podcast will highlight the personal experiences behind leadership decisions in the industry.
“The wealth management space is undergoing a period of incredible transformation and consolidation, forcing even the most seasoned leaders to adapt in real time,” he said.
“With Work Ethic, we wanted to share the raw leadership stories of the people living these experiences, exploring not just their business strategies but the human qualities behind their success.”
He added that perspectives shared by guests often shape both careers and companies.
“Work ethic means something different to everyone. You hear that in how people talk about their choices, their challenges and the standards they hold themselves to.”
Episodes of Work Ethic are available through major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.
