Hot Smart Rich has launched its second season with a purpose-built Los Angeles studio designed as a fully realised brand environment.
Backed by a seven-figure investment from Steven Bartlett’s FlightStory, the podcast hosted by Maggie Sellers Reum has moved away from a standard two-microphone format and into what it describes as an immersive visual world.
For the first time, the entire studio was modelled using detailed 3D technology with real-world measurements before construction began, allowing the physical build to be executed with all design elements pre-planned.
The rebrand centres on a deep burgundy and warm cream palette and extends across social channels, set design and visual identity.
The Los Angeles set was developed in collaboration with the FlightStory team and engineered as a bespoke environment.
Seating angles, eyelines, textures and spatial dynamics were tested using proprietary methods to assess how guests experience the space and how it appears on camera.
Maggie said: “I wanted to build a world where ambitious women would be excited to step into and be a part of. A world that feels like you’re gossiping with your best friends on anything from how to invest, how to build your personal brand, or how to build wealth, to how to raise your standards in life and in relationships as well as choosing partners and environments that truly match your ambition.”
She added that the creative direction, studio and content fulfil the mission of Hot Smart Rich by sharing access to conversations about creators, capital, culture and community.
Season two opens with investor and entrepreneur Codie Sanchez, whose episode focuses on what she calls the ‘asset ownership race’ and women’s positioning within it. Episodes will be released in long-form and shorter social edits.
Hot Smart Rich began as a WhatsApp group in 2022 and reports 1.8 million total downloads and 500,000 individual listeners within its first year.
The partnership with FlightStory applies the same growth methodology used on The Diary Of A CEO, with plans to expand revenue, team size and commercial activity.
Season two is available on YouTube and major podcast platforms.
