Katherine Ryan podcast returns with new guests and themes

Katherine Ryan’s podcast What’s My Age Again? returns today for a third season with new celebrity guests and personal health discussions.

The show continues to examine how ageing shapes identity, behaviour and expectations, combining humour with more candid conversations about lifestyle and wellbeing.

Each episode features a guest exploring their relationship with ageing, alongside a test to reveal their biological age, adding a scientific element to the discussion.

The new series includes appearances from Ruby Wax, Joe Lycett, Dame Prue Leith and Joanna Page, with the opening episode led by comedian Jimmy Carr.

In the first episode, Jimmy reflects on body image and how it affects men as well as women, linking this to wider cultural pressures.

He says: “I’m very conscious of weight, very conscious of staying sort of trim. In a way that’s probably on balance, maybe not the healthiest.”

Jimmy also suggests that social media has contributed to increased awareness and anxiety around appearance, particularly among men.

The episode moves into lighter territory as Jimmy discusses his eating habits and travel routines, including his preference for familiar food when abroad.

He explains his approach to meals, saying: “I sort of naturally do that like I tend to eat once a day.”

Katherine Ryan also asks about his go-to fast food order, with Jimmy describing a simple choice and occasional indulgence while travelling.

Later in the conversation, Jimmy shares his views on drug use and its potential impact on younger people, offering a perspective on how it may affect motivation during early adult life.
