Following the 40th anniversary of Robin of Sherwood in 2024, limited-edition audio and book bundle has been released.
Robin of Sherwood: Tales Untold Too is from Chinbeard Books, in association with Oak Tree Books and AUK Studios.
This limited-edition bundle brings back guest characters from the TV series, with original actors reprising their roles in brand-new stories.
Tales Untold Too marks a return to Sherwood for Rula Lenska (Morgwyn of Ravenscar), Marcus Gilbert (Lucifer), Amanda Hillwood (Lady Isobel), Charlie Condou (Martin de Rainault), Pavel Douglas (The Captain of the Guard), Matt Frewer (Roger De Carnac), James Coombes (Grendel), and Freddie Fox (Sir Guy of Gisburne).
There are also additional performances from Ed Browning and Sophie Jones.
Following the success of Tales Untold, this second volume delves even deeper into the world of Robin of Sherwood, presenting five new stories, available as an audio anthology and a novelisation (which includes an exclusive sixth story).
These vignettes explore moments that were never seen on screen, from untold backstories to events unfolding parallel to the episodes Robin of Sherwood fans know and love.
“I was delighted to be asked to create a second series of vignettes for Tales Untold Too,” says writer Jennifer Ash. “Robin of Sherwood has one of the best visiting character lists of any series – what a joy then, to be able to create spin-off tales to explore a few of them in depth.”
Director and producer Barnaby Eaton-Jones adds: “It has been delightful to approach the actors who played the original roles, all of whom have gladly returned to reprise them, and I guess that’s because of the strength of these new scripts themselves and also the strength of the original creation of those characters.
“What a treat to work so closely with the writer, Jennifer Ash, and dissect the television series together; to agree on which characters across the three series deserved another moment in the spotlight.”
Robin of Sherwood: Tales Untold Too is available for pre-order now. The bundle is expected to ship in April.
