Comedian Lou Sanders joins Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett OBE on this week’s episode of Dish from Waitrose to talk about acting, gardening, fast eating and vegan scallops.
The conversation also turns to her talking about her two cats, Baby and Bobert.
Lou revealed she recently returned to acting, saying: “I hadn’t done any acting for ages, and I turned up and I went, ‘Honestly, I don’t really do any acting and I don’t think I’m much good.’ But then they were so nice and it was a lovely day. So yeah, put me down for actor. I can do anything.”
She also described being in her gardening era, explaining: “I’ve started growing stuff in my garden. Lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes. I don’t know what’s what. And some herbs.”
Lou spoke about loving life at home with her cats, adding: “I really don’t like leaving my house. I’m in a codependent relationship with my cat. I think one of them I was married to in a previous life. Not my words, the words of a healer.”
She talked about her fast-eating habits, stealing food from children and old people, and her love for vegan scallops, despite giving them up after learning clams have two hundred eyes.
The episode also sees Lou discussing her Blue Peter badge won through cheating, her journey to veganism, showing love through cooking, her tour life mindset, and her chaotic podcast, A Psychic Told Us To Do It.
