For the first time in nine years, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are presenting a new series together with the launch of a new Audible Original podcast.
The real-life best friends are well-known for their long-term comic partnership presenting stints on Light Lunch, The Great British Bake Off and BBC’s Comic Relief.
In each episode of their new podcast, Mel & Sue Should Know by Now, they take turns to explain something that they still don’t know (but absolutely, as adults, should). Things that would be too embarrassing to ask anyone to explain – except a best friend.
As they struggle to fill in each other’s self-confessed blind spots, they share anecdotes and revelations about their lives, history and friendship.
From the science of bread-making to the mysteries of kink (overwhelmingly mysterious to Mel, anyway) and the unspoken rules of packing holiday underwear, no topic is off-limits!
Mel said: “Thirty-seven years of friendship and the old girl can still make me literally wheeze my lungs up with laughter. I have not had so much fun in AGES!!!”
Sue added: “I was crying with hysteria and eating crisps throughout. To be honest, I’m still not over the Guinea Pig story!”
