Moonkarta first series draws to close with five new episodes
Series one of Terry Mynott’s podcast Moonkarta has come to an end with the release of five new episodes.
Last year, comedy actor and impersonator Terry Mynott teamed up with writer and stand-up comedian Col Howarth to write and produce the podcast.
Moonkarta is an adventure story that sees Splott and his bunch of unlikely friends embark on a tale of good versus evil, courage and friendship, and a race to restore balance to a world that is under threat from dark forces.
Since part one was released in December, the podcast has been downloaded in 32 countries, with a rapidly growing audience of listeners.
Moonkarta is performed and produced by actor Terry Mynott: star of Motherland, Toast of London, Murder in Successville, The Windsors, The Mimic and many more. He performs every one of the dozens of characters in a performance that the Radio Times described as reminiscent of Rik Mayall, Tom Baker and Paul O’Grady.
Terry said: “When we started writing Moonkarta almost a year ago it was to explore something that both myself and Col could really throw our imaginations into. We are a team of just two. The beauty of Moonkarta is that we have given ourselves license to play, and the reaction has been incredible.”
Col added: “Moonkarta is a rare thing: a family podcast that doesn’t talk down to children, but that also appeals to adults. The positive themes running through series one of friendship, bravery, family and love have resonated with a lot of people.”
The five new episodes are available from today, 1 March, bringing series one to a conclusion. Terry and Col are now busy writing the second series
Moonkarta is available on all podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and Amazon. Or, for more information and to listen, go to the Moonkarta website.
