Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing say their hit podcast NewlyWeds will now be known as NearlyParents, as the couple prepare to welcome their first child.
The rebrand takes effect today, 9 June, and marks the next chapter for the married duo and their production company JamPot Productions.
Originally launched as NearlyWeds, the podcast gained a loyal following by sharing the light-hearted, honest and often chaotic journey of their wedding, later rebranding as NewlyWeds to document married life.
With Sophie now pregnant, the podcast will evolve again, offering an inside look at their new experiences around pregnancy, preparing for parenthood and navigating the reality of family life.
“I’m so excited for this next chapter of our podcast, and of our lives,” said Sophie. “It feels so special to bring our listeners along for the ride.”
Jamie added: “NearlyParents is going to be all about the ups, the downs, and the in-betweens of not only becoming parents, but how we also navigate everything life throws at us in between.”
The news comes during a busy month for the pair. Sophie is currently co-hosting BBC Radio 1’s Going Home Show alongside Jamie until 18 June, covering for Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton while they’re on maternity leave. It’s the first time a married couple has presented the show together.
Outside the studio, they’ve also taken on high-profile red carpet roles, including this year’s BRIT Awards and film premieres such as Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.
NearlyParents is available wherever you get your podcasts.
