Series two of the Have I Got News For You Podcast launches

In the News This Week, the Have I Got News For You podcast has returned for its second series.

While the TV show takes a break until its return to BBC One in the spring, the In The News This Week podcast brings an edit of the most HIGNFY-worthy news stories of the week; the most likely headlines to have made it onto the show if it was on air.

It includes behind-the-scenes anecdotes, insights and show inspired games about the latest news items.

The hosts have all worked on the TV show in various forms. Mike Rayment is a writer and sometimes producer on Have I Got News. Former teacher, Jack Harris moved into comedy and has most recently a consultant on CNN’s US version of the show. Queenie Miller has worked as a researcher and picture researcher on the show, while Emerald Paston is a comedy writer and development executive who regularly writes for it.

With Donald Trump’s upcoming inauguration, Starmer’s faltering government and Elon Musk’s continued omnipresence, there will be no shortage of stories for Jack, Queenie, Emerald and Mike to get stuck into.

As they return with a second series, the four hosts said: “We’re as surprised as anyone to have been allowed back to do a second series and look forward to giving both the big and small news stories the complete lack of respect they deserve.”

Episode one of series two is available now with weekly episodes released each Wednesday.
