Sky Sports: Real Talk podcast picks up gong at Broadcast Sport awards

The Sky Sports podcast team were celebrating last night as Sky Sports: Real Talk picked up an award at the 2024 Broadcast Sport awards.

London’s Hilton, Park Lane was the venue for the celebratory gala Awards dinner hosted by Maisie Adam and Suzi Ruffell where Sky Sports: Real Talk was awarded Sports Podcast of the Year.

The six-part series, presented by Miriam Walker-Khan, explored health and well-being topics experienced by athletes in different sporting worlds.

Released in March and April, Real Talk covered lesser discussed sporting topics such as obsessive-compulsive disorder, pelvic floor health, motherhood and retirement.

The mission of the series was to reduce the stigma and educate on topics often overlooked by the media. Guest athletes and figures in sport featured included Victoria Pendleton, Natasha Jonas, Emma Hayes, Nedum Onuoha, Sarah Storey, Henry Slade and Freya Anderson among others.
