Sony Music Entertainment launches You Had Me At Hello with Taye Diggs

You Had Me at Hello is a new podcast where ordinary people tell their own soul-stirring stories of romantic love.

Hosted by star of stage and screen Taye Diggs, the podcast is an antidote to the 24-hour news cycle and the saturation of True Crime stories in the podcast world. It offers nuggets of hope and humankind to prompt listeners to consider the role love, in all its forms, plays in our lives.

Some of the featured stories include Ruth and Ju, the same sex couple who met in the British Army in the 1990s, when the homosexuality ban was still in full force, Ukrainian Anna’s escape from her war-torn country to be reunited with her true love, Roydel and Raaj, whose TFL meet-cute was marred by family disapproval and religious complications and the bizarre and hilarious tale of Sophie and Tom’s first meeting, where Tom became trapped in the lie that he was a sex therapist.

Taye Diggs says: “It’s been a real privilege hosting You Had Me at Hello and discovering these powerful, true stories of love against all odds.

“Amongst the negative news we come across day-to-day, I hope the podcast will remind everyone that love can be just around the corner… and I can’t wait to share it with listeners.”

You Had Me at Hello launches today, Wednesday 13 September on all podcast platforms.
