Talking Rubbish launches recycled clips podcast for recycling tips

A new short form podcast answering common recycling questions launches on today, Global Recycling Day.

Sustainability experts James Piper and Robbie Staniforth are launching Talking Rubbish: Recycled Content, built entirely from clips taken from their existing Talking Rubbish podcast.

The new show uses snippets from earlier episodes to create short standalone segments answering practical recycling questions for listeners across the UK.

Each episode focuses on a single question and delivers a clear answer designed to help people navigate the country’s recycling system more easily.

Topics include everyday dilemmas such as whether pizza boxes can be recycled, whether photographs are recyclable, and whether glass needs to be sorted by colour before collection.

The episodes are released on a separate podcast feed and feature short extracts from the original programme, typically lasting between two and five minutes.

James Piper and Robbie Staniforth host the main Talking Rubbish podcast, which explores developments, innovations and misunderstandings in the world of waste and recycling.

The new format strips those discussions down into short, searchable audio clips designed to give quick answers for listeners looking for practical advice.

Segments come from parts of the original show including Rubbish Processes, where Piper and Staniforth explain how recycling works, and Rubbish or Not, which examines questions about the environmental impact of everyday activities and products.

The main podcast mixes expert insight with humour while unpacking the complexities of recycling and waste management.

Talking Rubbish: Recycled Content launches today, 18 March to coincide with Global Recycling Day.
