The News Movement launches its debut podcast Noted
Social-first media company, The News Movement is launching its first podcast, Noted, tackling the issues that are cutting through for a Gen Z audience.
Host, presenter and journalist Mary Mandefield (BBC Radio 1Xtra, TNM’s Make It Make Sense), will speak with experts and cover topics ranging from contraception to the cost of living, to disability to drugs, to films and festivals.
With over 1.7 billion views and 1.1 million followers across its network of owned brands, The News Movement provides Gen Z with journalism and content to help them understand and navigate the world around them.
Noted will offer TNM’s followers an alternative channel with its style of storytelling, while also reaching new audiences seeking engaging and lively discussions.
Host Mary Mandefield said: “I’m thrilled to host The News Movement’s first podcast series, bringing the conversations that young audiences are having to the spotlight and reflecting their interests and perspectives throughout the series.
“Podcasts are an amazing outlet for curiosity, and I’m keen to explore that; uncovering stories and then sharing them with people who also want to better understand their world.
“I’m excited to be breaking down some of the biggest topics for a young and news hungry audience on the show and look forward to seeing how our listeners react and engage with it as we grow.”
The News Movement is partnering with Persephonica for the 12-part series of Noted, which launches on 4 October, with new episodes released each week.
