The Offside Rule podcast moves to Listening Dog Media

The award-winning football podcast The Offside Rule has transferred to Manchester based podcast production agency Listening Dog Media.

When the series returns on Tuesday 6 February, broadcaster Lynsey Hooper will be joined by former England international and Women’s Super League winner Natasha Dowie. The pair will be chatting about everything in the women’s game, shining a light on the Women’s Championship alongside conversation about the WSL and beyond.

The podcast has been a champion of the women’s side of football since it launched a decade ago and last summer, its team produced a daily Women’s World Cup series in conjunction with Sky Sports as they followed the Lionesses journey through to the final.

Speaking about joining The Offside Rule, Natasha Dowie said: “I’m excited to be working with Lynsey again after we had such a good time during the World Cup. I can’t wait to start sharing my insight and experiences and covering the women’s game in a different way.”

Co-Founder Lynsey Hooper said: “We pride ourselves at The Offside Rule for always being at the forefront of pushing new boundaries.

“We started producing content for women to have a strong voice in football well over a decade ago and have enjoyed much success helping to promote the Lionesses and WSL. Now, we want to widen that discussion by focusing on the entire women’s football pyramid – with a focus on players and clubs away from the top tier.

“We hope fans can join us for the next part of our Offside Rule journey: learning more about the game, the characters and issues around it. It’s important to keep using our platform and voice to draw attention back to underrepresented area whilst also having some fun along the way”.

Listening Dog Media’s Production Director Callum Marks added: “We’re delighted to work with Lynsey and Natasha on The Offside Rule. The women’s game is growing all the time, and The Offside Rule has been one of UK’s biggest voices in the sport since they started over a decade ago. We can’t wait to see the series continue to develop alongside our growing stable of football podcasts.”

The Offside Rule is available on most podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Amazon Music.
