YUNGBLUD partners with BBC Radio 1 for new podcast series

A brand-new weekly podcast launching on BBC Sounds in October sees YUNGBLUD partnering with BBC Radio 1.

Yorkshire born multi-instrumentalist YUNGBLUD has a huge following of young fans, with 2.4 million followers on Instagram, 1.7 million YouTube subscribers and over 1.4 billion streams worldwide.

The new podcast was announced during his appearance on Clara Amfo’s show today (29 September) for Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month 2020.

The YUNGBLUD Podcast will see the singer-songwriter turn his hand to presenting as he meets young music fans who are approaching turning points in their lives.

He’ll be talking to one fan each week about topics and issues affecting young people today such as gender, sexuality, identity, money worries, friendships, style and mental health.

YUNGBLUD says: “I am so excited to be able to have one-on-one conversations with young people about what is going on in the world right now, and hear it from their perspective.

“I’m so sick and tired of talking about things from my perspective! I can’t wait to hear what they’ve got to say, and what we’ve got to say together.”

You can hear an introduction episode to the series from today and the first full episode will be available to listen to on BBC Sounds later in October.
