Brian Harvey is back for a second year running with a brand-new season of his Rude Retellings podcast.
Produced by Create Podcasts, The Rude Retellings sees Brian deliver expletive-laden, effing and jeffing versions of Christmas classics. The first episode, Twas The Night Before Christmas, is out today.
Following the success of A Christmas Carol in 2020, The Rude Retellings returns, and with 6 episodes released in the run up to Christmas.
Written by Clement Clark Moore in 1893, Twas The Night Before Christmas is a classic poem, traditionally read to little ones as they settle into bed on Christmas Eve. But this retelling is for adult ears only.
Brian narrates the tale, opening with “Twas the night before Christmas. Or as normal people would say, Christmas Eve.” He goes on to accuse Clement of “body shaming” Father Christmas, as well as peppering the story with sweary quotes such as “Oi, Cupid, pay attention, you d***head!” What better way to get into the Christmas spirit?!
Brian Harvey is no stranger to Christmas, having celebrated success as lead singer of East 17, who released one of the most popular Christmas songs of all time, ‘Stay Another Day’. Now, he’s back and offering his vocals to what’s sure to be another Christmas classic.
