ReelWorld has hired former Adobe’s Durin Gleaves in the newly created role of AI Development Director.
Durin brings over two decades of experience to his new role role including 18 years at Adobe where he played a pivotal role in developing professional audio production tools.
This included a decade as Product Manager for Audition and five years managing audio workflows in Premiere Pro. His work covered a range of fields from radio, film and television production to law enforcement. He was instrumental in introducing some of the first AI-powered features to Adobe’s Creative Cloud products.
Durin co-created the internet’s first chat-based customer service portal, which set the stage for a startup later acquired by Oracle. His commitment to ethical practices in AI was highlighted during an appearance on Radiolab, where he advocated for responsible use of AI and deepfake technology.
Mike Thomas, CEO of ReelWorld says: “Durin has already demonstrated that he can help ReelWorld harness the incredible power of AI by transforming our initial concepts into the groundbreaking new tool AI Create. His deep understanding of audio production and his vision for what’s possible with emerging technologies make him the perfect addition to ReelWorld.”
In his new role, Durin will be responsible for integrating AI across ReelWorld’s services, collaborating with both the Audio and Development teams to drive innovation. He will also draw upon his extensive experience at Adobe to enhance existing products.
