Global and Australian Radio Network sign new podcast partnership

Australia’s leading audio company ARN has entered a new long-term podcast partnership with Global.

ARN’s iHeart is now the exclusive advertising sales representative for Global’s podcast slate in Australia. The deal brings the two podcast publishers together in a move designed to expand international reach and commercial impact.

Global’s podcast line-up includes chart-topping originals such as The News Agents with Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel and Lewis Goodall, The News Agents USA, The Sports Agents hosted by Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman and the award-winning My Therapist Ghosted Me with Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally.

The partnership also means iHeart’s popular Australian podcasts will now be made available to UK audiences via the Global Player app. This includes hit shows like The Christian O’Connell Show, The Lady Vanishes, and Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne.

Corey Layton, ARN’s Head of Digital Audio, said: “Global and ARN share a passion for delivering world-class audio experiences across both markets.

“We’re excited to bring shows like My Therapist Ghosted Me and The News Agents to Australian advertisers while collaborating to support our shared ambitions.”

Katie Bowden, Global’s Managing Director of Commercial Audio, added: “Today marks another exciting new chapter for podcasts here at Global.

“Both Global and ARN see the potential to grow the commercial podcasting market across the world and connect with listeners everywhere through high-quality, premium podcasts and storytelling.

“We’re excited to be on this journey with ARN and iHeart and their impressive network of advertising partners.”
