Sir Tony Robinson launches third series of Cunningcast podcast

Sir Tony Robinson has returned with a brand-new series of his hit podcast Cunningcast, bringing his trademark wit, curiosity and humour to a fresh line-up of intriguing historical themes.

The latest episodes continue his mission to uncover the surprising stories that shape our world with expert insight and his own sharp, entertaining perspective.

Best known for playing Baldrick in the classic sitcom Blackadder and fronting Channel 4’s Time Team for two decades, Robinson has become one of Britain’s most recognisable history presenters. His new fiction book, The House of Wolf, published in September this year, has already become a bestseller.

Across Series three, Robinson explores a diverse mix of topics, from ancient mysteries to modern geopolitics.

Subjects include new discoveries at Stonehenge, the secrets of Sutton Hoo, the psychology of Vladimir Putin, the search for shipwrecks and sunken cities, the authorship of the Bible, and a tie-in special on Alfred the Great linked to his latest book.

Speaking about the series, Robinson described himself as “eternally curious,” emphasising that no subject is off limits when viewed through the lens of history.

Cunningcast is part of the Acast Creator Network and is available now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other major platforms.
