Emma Bunton, Leigh Francis, Jade Jones, and Jill Francis have joined forces for a new podcast, Unlikely Friends.
You might not expect Spice Girl Emma and husband, Damage frontman Jade, to strike up a lasting friendship with BAFTA-winner Leigh and his wife, Jill , but that’s exactly what makes these Unlikely Friends so special.
The show celebrates a 20-year friendship that began unexpectedly and has grown into a warm, funny, and relatable bond that listeners can now enjoy every week.
Unlikely Friends invites fans into the group’s conversations, guided by topics drawn from a plastic pineapple nicknamed “Pauline The Pineapple” after Emma’s mother.
Episodes cover everything from parenting chaos to pop culture curiosities, including the question of Leonardo DiCaprio’s “suspiciously squeezable cheeks.”
The Unlikely Friends said: “The papers called us ‘Unlikely Friends’ years ago…we might be unlikely friends, but behind closed doors we’re just a pretty normal bunch from similar backgrounds who really just clicked!
