History Daily has secured a new global commercial partnership as it looks to grow.
The popular weekday podcast, hosted by award-winning storyteller Lindsay Graham, has signed an exclusive global commercial agreement with Audioboom to distribute, monetise and grow the show across all major platforms.
History Daily launched in November 2021 and has since released more than 1000 episodes, building a loyal worldwide audience and passing 70 million downloads.
Each episode takes listeners through a significant moment from the past, covering ancient civilisations, modern political turning points, notorious crimes, assassinations, and defining sporting and cultural events.
Graham says the podcast goes beyond the traditional โthis day in historyโ format by combining narrative storytelling with accessibility, helping history feel relevant and engaging in everyday life.
โI hear from listeners all over the world that History Daily is more than a โthis day in historyโ show; it’s part of their daily routines,โ Graham said. โWe’re there for our listeners every day to bring a bit of wonder and curiosity while they run errands or jog around the block; listen with the kids in the car, or just wind down at night.โ
He added that choosing a new partner was a carefully considered decision, with long-term growth and listener experience at the centre.
โAudioboom presented us with a winning formula of technology, expertise and creator support that I think will best serve us, the listeners and the growth of the show,โ he said.
Under the new agreement, History Daily will gain access to Audioboomโs full suite of advertising and monetisation tools. These include the Showcase advertising marketplace and the AdRip inventory creation product, designed to help creators maximise revenue while maintaining a consistent listening experience.
Audioboomโs Chief Content Officer Brendan Regan described the podcast as one of the most reliable performers in the medium.
โHistory Daily has earned its place as one of the most trusted and consistent shows in podcasting,โ he said. โIts daily format, compelling storytelling, and loyal global audience make it a true standout.โ
He also highlighted the continued popularity of history podcasts with audiences and said Audioboom was looking forward to supporting Graham and his team commercially as the show continues to expand this year.
Lindsay Graham is already well known in podcasting, having won a Webby Award and built a strong following through American History Tellers and American Scandal.
He is also executive producer of high-profile series including Dirty John and 1865. History Dailyโs fanbase even includes Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds, who guest-hosted a special April Foolsโ Day episode in 2023.
History Daily remains available on all major podcast platforms.
