Entries are now open for the first Scottish Podcast Awards, launching a new celebration of podcasting talent across Scotland’s growing audio and video sector.
The awards will culminate in a ceremony at Glasgow’s Old Fruitmarket on 25 June, bringing together creators, producers and industry figures to recognise excellence, creativity and innovation in podcasting.
There are 23 categories covering a wide range of genres, including entertainment and pop culture, comedy, sport, news and politics, business to business and Gaelic, alongside awards for Emerging Talent and Listeners Choice.
Independent podcasters and community-led shows are encouraged to enter alongside established production teams, with submissions open until 9 March and shortlisted nominees due to be announced in early May.
Both audio-first podcasts and video podcasts are eligible to enter, provided they meet the published criteria, reflecting the broad ways audiences now engage with podcast content across platforms.
The Scottish Podcast Awards also include an international category, welcoming entries from podcasters based outside Scotland, while keeping the core focus firmly on celebrating Scottish talent and creativity.
The launch follows confirmation last week that Go Radio will act as Official Media Partner, supporting the awards by featuring entries, finalists and winners across its broadcast and digital platforms.
Rochelle Clemente, Managing Director at Go Radio, said the partnership reflects the strength of Scotland’s podcasting scene and Go Studios’ commitment to giving creators a high-quality platform for their work.
Scottish Podcast Awards founder Corrinne Gardiner said: “We’re incredibly excited to launch the first ever Scottish Podcast Awards.
“Podcasting in Scotland is thriving, and these awards are about recognising the talent, originality and hard work that goes into creating brilliant shows.
“Whether you’re an established producer or a first-time podcaster, we want to hear from you.”
Full details on eligibility, categories and how to enter are available on the Scottish Podcast Awards website.
