RedHanded podcast signs exclusive partnership with Audioboom

True crime podcast RedHanded has secured a new commercial and distribution agreement to support its global growth and long-term monetisation.

The exclusive partnership sees hosts Suruthi Bala and Hannah Maguire return to Audioboom, which will manage worldwide distribution and advertising sales for the podcast across audio and video platforms.

Launched in 2017, RedHanded has developed into one of the most widely listened to true crime podcasts internationally, generating more than 30 million downloads each year and maintaining a large and engaged audience across multiple platforms.

Under the agreement, RedHanded will rejoin the Audioboom Creator Network, enabling access to expanded commercial opportunities while keeping creative control with its founders, as the show continues to publish weekly episodes.

Bala and Maguire said: “RedHanded began its growth journey with Audioboom, so returning feels like a natural next chapter. The team understands our show, our audience and the value of creator led storytelling.”

They added that the partnership would give them the infrastructure to reach new listeners globally while working with brand partners in a way that protects the integrity of the show they have built.

As part of the deal, RedHanded will bring its archive of more than 400 main episodes, alongside the previously paywalled ShortHand back catalogue, into the Audioboom network for wider distribution and monetisation.

All future episodes of both RedHanded and ShortHand will also be distributed and monetised by Audioboom, covering audio releases and the podcast’s growing video output.

The move comes during a period of expansion for Audioboom, which has strengthened its position in the UK market through an enlarged sales operation and the acquisition of podcast network Adelicious last year.
