The Joe Rogan Experience, Crime Junkie, and The Daily have maintained their positions as the three podcasts with the highest reach among weekly listeners in the United States.
Edison Podcast Metrics from Edison Research at SSRS has released the data for the second quarter of 2026.
The top five podcasts remain unchanged from the previous quarter, with Call Her Daddy and Smartless rounding out the group.
There were no new entries into the top 10 this quarter, though some movement within the top 10 was noted.
Dateline NBC moved up one position, New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce climbed three spots, while Stuff You Should Know and MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories both dropped in the rankings.
Several podcasts made notable moves elsewhere in the top 50. Huberman Lab, hosted by Andrew Huberman, rose to 22nd place.
This comes after Huberman was linked in April to a 2024 smear campaign targeting his ex-girlfriend, following her involvement in a New York Magazine exposé. The only previous quarter where Huberman Lab ranked higher was Q1 2024, when it reached 21st.
The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett achieved its highest ranking to date, breaking into the top 20 for the first time. In the second quarter, Bartlett featured guests such as JD Vance and Ivanka Trump.
The Bill Simmons Podcast also made a significant leap, rising 17 positions to enter the top 25 for the first time. The podcast has been available on Netflix since January.
Just outside the top 50, Ologies with Alie Ward, a science podcast, reached 55th place. The show is known for its approach of asking experts unconventional questions.
Three podcasts entered the top 50 for the first time. The Rest is History, which recently focused on the U.S. founding fathers for America’s 250th anniversary, made its debut.
The Why Files also entered the top 50, covering topics such as the release of unsealed UFO documents and the Artemis II flyby, which aligned with its ongoing interest in moon landing conspiracy theories.
The Bulwark, a political podcast created by two anti-MAGA Republicans, also appeared in the top 50 for the first time.
The Megyn Kelly Show experienced the largest decline in audience size among the top 50, dropping 25 places from 19th to 44th since the previous quarter.
