Parents might enjoy the new parenting podcast arriving on BBC Sounds which is presented by parents and partners, Vanel and Sindy.
Go Ask Your Mother will feature a mixture of humour and lively debates from the couple. They’ll look at important conversations around raising their family. The pair had a sometimes very strict African upbringing and will share their memories plus some challenging and funny stories.
Sindy, a 26 year old beauty therapist and Vanel, a 29 year old youth worker and music producer will include topics from lying to your kids, what age is appropriate to wear makeup, to bridging cultural differences.
Some episodes will have expert guests to help with subjects such as mental health, sex and discipline.
Vanel and Sindy said: “We’ve been watching BBC content for as long as we can remember so we are so hyped to have a podcast on BBC Sounds, we’ve never had this sort of opportunity before, we just can’t believe it – plus as busy parents it’s some cheeky extra time we get to spend together each week!”
The first episode of Go Ask Your Mother will be available on BBC Sounds from next Wednesday (15 July). Vanel and Sindy will be talking about their unique relationship story and what is was like introducing a pregnant Sindy to Vanel’s family for the very first time.
