Amazon Music is launching its first Amazon Original podcast in the UK, +44 Podcast, hosted by presenter, broadcaster and cultural commentator Zeze Millz and presenter, comedian and creator Sideman.
The podcast will see Zeze and Sideman joined by some of the biggest names in Black music, sports, film, TV and culture, with Deno appearing as the first guest.
Released each Friday, the format will see the hosts and their guests tackling some of the hottest issues of the week, from the biggest stories to hit the news agenda to the latest releases across music, film or fashion. The podcast will provide a platform for guests to add their voices to the latest cultural debates, and to join the hosting duo as they celebrate Black culture in the UK.
Host Zeze Millz commented: “I’m so amped to be part of +44 Podcast alongside Sideman. I believe this podcast is going to be really important for the culture and will create a brand-new space for important conversations to be had.
“Realness is at the heart of this podcast, David and I are known for our unfiltered opinions and we’ll be talking about everything! We’ll be having those difficult conversation that we tend to shy away from and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”
Sideman added: “Zeze and I are passionate cultural commentators and I’m really excited that we get to work together to bring the +44 Podcast to life. The intention of the show is to have conversations that matter, so we’ll definitely be pushing the boundaries with our guests each week.
“+44 Podcast is going to be a home for cultural conversations, and a lot of humour along the way. I’m looking forward to building the +44 community.”
The +44 Podcast builds on the success of Amazon Music’s Black music playlist, +44, which is expanding into three further genre specific playlists; +44 AFRO, +44 RAP and +44 R&B. +44 exists as a space to celebrate and amplify Black music genres, the artists that make the music, as well as the culture behind it – connecting audiences to the artists they love via original content.
+44 is available each Friday, from 14 May, exclusively on Amazon Music.
