British Podcast Awards return and are open for entry

The British Podcast Awards are returning for a second year to HERE at Outernet in Central London on Thursday 26th September.

Entries are now open to the 23 categories, including Entertainment, Wellbeing, Business, Fiction and New Podcast, plus the publicly voted Listeners’ Choice. With over 230,000 votes last year, it’s the category that gets podcasters campaigning for votes on their shows and through social media.

The British Podcast Awards has also introduced the ‘Best Host(s)’ category to celebrate up-and-coming voices in the podcast industry.

It was the awards that first championed George The Poet’s seminal series, as well as hits Griefcast and Dear Daughter. Previous winners have reached new, engaged audiences and gained industry recognition.

When entries close on 9 May, over 200 judges will begin listening to hours of entries. This year, the podcast industry is invited to nominate a judge – either themselves or a peer – who will help decide who will be on the stage in September.

The British Podcast Awards will continue to discount fees for freelancers, charities and small production companies which make up the majority of the sector. It continues to partner with the Podcasting Seriously Fund who provide entry fee support from independent BIPOC, Queer and/or Trans audio producers.

Standard entries deadline is on Thursday 9th May at 11.59pm. You can enter at britishpodcastawards.com.
