Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof launches podcast series

Hosted by Wim Hof and his son Enahm Hof, this brand-new podcast series, The Wim Hof Podcast takes the listener to just outside of Amsterdam, where Wim hosts his world-renowned health retreats.

The 10 episode series kicks off on Monday 14 June with Russell Brand. Other guests lined-up include Jordan Peterson and the director of Seaspiracy, Ali Tabrizi.

Throughout the series Wim gets creative with his guests as listeners will hear a song written especially for Russell Brand, as well as a poem for second guest, Jordan Peterson.

In episode 1, Russell discusses how he applies the Wim Hof Method to his everyday life, the importance of breath work and why everyone should learn to be fearless.

Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof got his nickname ‘The Iceman’ by breaking a number of records related to cold exposure, including climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in shorts, running a half marathon above the Arctic Circle barefoot, and standing in a container while covered with ice cubes for more than 112 minutes.

Using ‘cold, hard nature’ as his teacher, his extensive training has enabled him to learn to control his breathing, heart rate, and blood circulation and to withstand extreme temperatures.

On making the series, Wim Hof says: “Now more than ever we need to understand the importance of life; everyone has the right to access the soul, be happy, healthy and strong.

“I want to try and create more awareness of this through my podcast series. We can help each other live a more content and free life if we share and talk to one another.

“I hope you enjoy this brand-new podcast and that it brings you more understanding and peace to your everyday life.”

The first episode of The Wim Hof Podcast will be released on 14 June on Global Player or wherever you get your podcasts, with episodes available every Monday thereafter.
