Best-selling author and chart-topping podcaster, Elizabeth Day, will be launching her latest project: The Podclass™.
With Elizabeth Day as executive producer, each season will form a different ‘How To’ masterclass, with upcoming topics including How To Date and How To Be Funny, hosted by experts in each field.
The Podclass™ is the evolution of an educational podcast series, trademarked by Day’s new podcast production company, Daylight Productions.
Starting with How To Write A Book, this new venture forms part of the How To family, which includes Elizabeth’s popular podcast How To Fail.
Hosted by best-selling author, Sara Collins, leading agent, Nelle Andrew, and publisher, Sharmaine Lovegrove, the 12-week series guides listeners from conception to completion.
The experts will offer practical knowledge and advice by shedding light on plot development, crafting compelling characters, and mastering convincing dialogue.
Episodes will break down how to find ideas and how best to execute them, with regular listener exercises provided along the way. Hosts talk about their own influences too, from Tom Ripley to Gone Girl, Jane Austen to Jane Fallon, Peaky Blinders to Succession.
As executive producer and a bestselling author herself, Elizabeth introduces each episode and offers her final reflections. Halfway through the season, the three hosts turn the tables and interview Elizabeth on her own creative process.
Elizabeth is dedicated to dismantling the access barriers to expertise and knowledge, so the series offers all these valuable insights, completely free. For those in the thick of their creative flow, a subscription offering will unlock all 12 episodes at once.
The How To Podclass™ is the first podcast series produced under Daylight Productions, in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.
Elizabeth says: “How to Write a Book is the perfect way to launch the new evolution of the How To franchise. Our three main hosts – Sara, Sharmaine and Nelle are among the most powerful voices in publishing.
“Each episode is packed full of insights and practical tips, but you’ll also be tuning in for the sheer joy of listening to their easy and hilarious friendship dynamic.”
New episodes of How To Write A Book will be available every Monday from 22 July, for 12 weeks.
