Best-selling author, historian and world-renowned thinker Peter Frankopan is launching a podcast series where he discusses global topics which inform understanding of the past, present and future.
I’ve Been Thinking…with Peter Frankopan will hear from experts, academics and thinkers, who reveal all on current affairs, cutting-edge research and the ins and outs of life as Prime Minister or director of the FBI.
The first two episodes will feature Professor Alice Roberts and former FBI director James Comey.
Anatomist, author and broadcaster Alice Roberts strives to make science more accessible and afford it a social conscience, she discusses being human with Peter.
Former FBI director James Comey takes Peter through his time prosecuting notorious crime families in New York, how law enforcement and the justice system is inherently flawed and his experience dealing with Donald Trump.
Peter Frankopan said: “Through doing this podcast I’ve had the opportunity to chat to an incredible array of people who have provided insight into topics which have long fascinated me. It’s my hope that listeners can use the podcast as a tool to learn more about issues affecting our past, present and future.”
Peter’s work has seen him write for media outlets including The New York Times, Financial Times and The Guardian. Prospect Magazine named him one of the world’s Top Thinkers in 2019. His books have sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide, reached number one in the Sunday Times nonfiction charts and remained in the top 10 for nine months.
His book The Silk Roads was named one of the 25 most influential books translated into Chinese in the last 40 years, alongside One Hundred Years of Solitude, Pride and Prejudice, Catcher in the Rye and The Great Gatsby. Peter is Professor of Global History at Oxford University.
