Hollywood & Crime podcast explores death of showbiz promoter Roy Radin

Wondery’s new season of the hit true crime anthology series Hollywood & Crime explores the mysterious death of show business promoter Roy Radin.

Hosted by storyteller Tracy Pattin and actor Josh Lucas, Hollywood & Crime: The Cotton Club Murder will uncover the dark side of Hollywood, investigating the murder of the showbiz promoter.

On 10 June 1983, the decomposing body of a well-dressed man was found in a desolate canyon near Los Angeles.

John Doe #94 would soon be identified as missing variety show producer Roy Radin. Before his death, he had crossed paths with a glamorous cocaine dealer named Lanie Jacobs.

Jacobs and Radin both had the same dream: to break into the high stakes world of movie making. They thought they’d made it after teaming up with Robert Evans, one of the biggest movie producers in town. Ultimately, a deadly mix of greed, lies and betrayal led to Radin’s murder. But who killed him?

It took more than five years of a difficult pursuit across the country for homicide detectives to unlock the truth. The series is a story about a doomed partnership, ruthless ambitions, and desperate dreams.

The six-part series of Hollywood & Crime: The Cotton Club Murder will be available from 11 November on Wondery+ and 12 December everywhere you get your podcasts.
