Listen hires ex-Paramount executive to continue visualised podcast push

Podcast production company Listen has appointed Jonathan Pascoe as Executive Producer.

This latest hire comes after a hugely successful 2024, that saw the company cement its reputation as a pioneer in visualised podcasting.

Pascoe has previously worked with the company on some of its most celebrated visualised companion podcasts.

Most notably, he was Series Producer on BBC’s The Traitors: Uncloaked this month, hosted by Ed Gamble, which concluded its record-breaking run last Friday with a finale that drew 4.8 million overnight viewers on BBC ONE.

He also Executive Produced Disney’s official Rivals podcast, which was the first visualised podcast available on the Disney+ platform. The show had behind-the-scenes insights and special guests, including cast members Danny Dyer and Emily Atack, making it a must-view companion to the hit series.

Previously, Pascoe was Senior Director of Digital Content and Production at Paramount, where he shaped commissioning strategy and developed high-value original series for MTV and Comedy Central. His career also includes earlier roles at Heart Breakfast and BBC Radio 2.

Darby Dorras, Director of Content at Listen said: “2024 was our biggest year yet, and we’re building on that success as we step into 2025.

“Jonathan brings a wealth of experience to Listen that’s perfectly aligned with our ambitions. His proven expertise in digital and broadcast content, combined with his passion for creating engaging, high-quality productions, will help us continue to lead and innovate in the visual podcasting space.”
