New mini-series podcast released by Outrage + Optimism

One of the leading independent climate podcasts, Outrage + Optimism has launched a new mini-series titled How To Live A Good Life in a Climate Crisis.

Hosted by Christiana Figueres and Tom Rivett-Carnac, who famously helped deliver the Paris Agreement on Climate Change in 2015, and sustainable economy expert Paul Dickinson, the show is a weekly guide for those wanting to make sense of the climate conversation.

Over five episodes, the hosts explore question around climate change from “Should I fly?” and “Is it OK to eat meat?” to “Should I have children?” and “What Career Should I have?”

The series focuses on our role as individuals, while at the same time calling for governments, businesses and institutions to assist complementary systemic change.

Each episode tackles one big question as Christiana, Tom and Paul share their own personal stories, guilt and struggles as well as the latest research and analysis.

There are no right or wrong answers and no secret ingredients for building the perfect life during climate change. Instead, this series serves as a starting point to tackle large issues and help listeners reflect on their own choices without judgement, while opening up spaces to ‘feel’ what it means to be living through a ‘climate crisis’.

Christiana Figueres says: “I am thrilled to share this new series with you, where Tom, Paul and I grapple with the big questions from listeners which keep us awake at night.

“We discuss, divulge and sometimes disagree on issues such as flying, having children and what to eat. Baring our souls, we swap stories, share our deepest thoughts and explore the latest insights.

“There are no quick-fix answers, so you might feel more confused at the end of the series than when you began! But hopefully this is a useful starting point to reflect on daily dilemmas so that we can live our best lives in a climate crisis.”

Outrage + Optimism is available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and on all major podcast platforms. THe new mini-series, How To Live A Good Life in a Climate Crisis launches today, Thursday 3 October.
