A new podcast series about the rise and fall of Robert Maxwell hosted by investigative journalist Tara Palmeri and produced by Somethin’ Else is being launched next Tuesday, 12 January.

But even as she sits in a Brooklyn jail awaiting a trial, over a year after the mysterious death of her disgraced partner, billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, she remains a real enigma.
Although, this isn’t the first time that the death of a man in Ghislaine’s life has been shrouded in mystery.
In 1991, Ghislaine’s father media tycoon Robert Maxwell went missing from the deck of his yacht off the Canary Islands. Hours later his body was pulled from the Atlantic Ocean. No one onboard heard him fall. His favourite daughter, Ghislaine’s theory: her father was murdered.

Speaking about the podcast series, Tara Palmeri said: “Ghislaine Maxwell has been an enigma to me. It’s hard to wrap my head around why a woman with everything in the world — money, power, connections — would allegedly recruit underage girls for a sex offender. And then I learned about her father Robert Maxwell and realised that to understand Ghislaine we had to know where she came from.”
