BBC Radio 1’s Scott Mills has launched a new podcast five months after welcoming a Cavapoo puppy called Teddy into his life and quickly realising he didn’t really know what he was doing!
“What if he doesn’t like me? What if he eats something he shouldn’t? What if he runs into the house and he’s muddy,” Scott asked himself and decided he needed help!
In this new Pupdates podcast, Scott has teamed up with dog training guru Steve Mann, who has trained puppies owned by Lorraine Kelly, Graham Norton, Emilia Clark and Brian Blessed.
Released as a boxset, Pupdates is 10 bite sized episodes covering everything you need to know: Scott and Steve advise on working out what breed of dog is best for you and for the dog. How to settle your dog in the first 24 hours and what to do and when.
They cover all the messy stuff, give advice on toilet training and how to stop your puppy from chewing everything in sight. They also teach how to socialise a puppy and how to introduce them to new people.
Famous names including Olivia Attwood, Adrian Chiles and Emily Atack will also feature in the series to ask their questions to Scott and Steve. Olivia wants to know how she can get her adopted dog to understand her, and Adrian asks how to know whether you’re feeding them enough.
All 10 episodes of Pupdates are available now on Apple, Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
