Entrepreneur and YouTuber Yianni Charalambous is to host a new BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds podcast which features top celebrities from around the UK and the world revealing their “side-hustles” – entrepreneurial endeavours they have created on the side of what they’re best known for.

How We Hustle with Yianni will feature all-star guests, including Lethal Bizzle, JME, Adebayo Akinfenwa, Tiffany Calver, Guz Khan and Jeremy Lynch.

Yianni will also discuss the unique obstacles each person has faced in building their businesses. This will include wider topics such as mental health and family, along with advice they’ve sometimes learned the hard way.

Musician Lethal Bizzle will reveal his inspiration to develop properties in Ghana, BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Tiffany Calver will discuss her joint venture record label with Polydor, JME will speak about his passion for gaming and tech and skateboarder Blondey McCoy will talk about his clothing and fashion line.

Yianni’s own YouTube channel has exceeded 300 million views, and showcases his own business vinyl wrapping cars, including those of celebrities such as James Arthur, Jeremy Lynch and KSI etc.

Speaking about his new podcast, Yianni says: “As an entrepreneur, I love the art of business and making money. I’m excited about hosting How We Hustle because this podcast breaks down what it takes to be successful in the business world with creative advice and practical tips.

“The guests are highly diverse in terms of background, experience and personality. But they all share success in entrepreneurship, and they’ve developed skill sets that help them to hustle at a higher level.

“Listening to my fellow hustlers tell exciting stories about the things they’ve gone through, how they failed in life, and then become successful again was very inspiring for me – and I’m sure it will be the same for our audience.

“I’m looking forward to hearing and seeing all the new and evolving business ideas that come about due to How We Hustle.”

BBC Sounds and Radio 5 Live commissioning executive, Dylan Haskins says: “Yianni is a charismatic presenter with a huge young audience. He’s the perfect host for this podcast having built his own impressive side hustles. Through candid insight into the entrepreneurial minds of musicians, DJs and sport stars, the podcast will be entertaining and inspiring to the next generation of hustlers and we’re really happy to have him join BBC Radio 5 Live.”

The podcast is also the first BBC Radio commission for UK independent production company Renowned Films. Its cofounder and CEO Duane Jones says: “If you really want to understand the true definition of hustle, this is the only podcast you need listen to this year. Thank you to BBC Sounds for giving Renowned the opportunity to create this essential series for every upcoming entrepreneur, featuring some of UK’s most trailblazing pioneers that have shifted the culture as we know it.”

How We Hustle with Yianni launches on BBC Sounds on 31 March.
