Rio Tinto’s podcast Things You Can’t Live Without launches season two

Following the success of its first season, Rio Tinto has launched season two of the Things You Can’t Live Without podcast.

Rio Tinto is a mineral mining and processing company which operates in 35 countries with 60,000 employees.

Hosted by materials scientist, engineer, and award-winning communicator Dr. Anna Ploszajski, the podcast explores the essential materials, innovations, and human ingenuity shaping our everyday lives.

It features in-depth conversations with thought leaders, industry experts, and cultural icons who reveal the extraordinary science, creativity, and collaboration behind the things we rely on most.

This season’s guests include bestselling author Cornelia Funke on storytelling and sustainability, Oscar-winning sound designer Mark Mangini on capturing Hollywood’s most iconic sounds, and renowned chef Sabrina Ghayour on the materials that shape the tools of the kitchen. 

Each episode also features insights from Rio Tinto leaders and experts, connecting these themes to the cutting-edge science and sustainable innovations driving industries forward.

The first episode of the new season launches today, Thursday 27 March with new episodes available weekly on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major platforms.
