A new Audible Original Podcast, Michael Caine: Heroes is launched today.
The release follows the success of the critically acclaimed Heist with Michael Caine that launched in June 2020 and more recently Michael Caine: Gangs which launched in July 2021.

The series gets to know the real people behind the media headlines, exploring events from the Piper Alpha oil rig in the cold waters of the North Sea, to the Bosnian and Kosovo wars in the 1990s and the Chilean Miners. The stories featured are powerful, inspiring and life changing.
The series episodes are as follows:
Episode 1: Piper Alpha – Michael starts the series with a tragedy involving hundreds of men stationed on the Piper Alpha oil rig in the cold waters of the North Sea. The episode follows the stories of the brave men who worked fearlessly to rescue and save the lives of those marooned on the burning rig.
Episode 2: Anna Politkovskaya – Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya was well known for her opposition to the Chechen conflict and criticism of Vladimir Putin. The episode explores Anna’s bravery, unbreakable spirit and her refusal to stop reporting, despite knowing the potential consequences.
Episode 3: 33 Chilean Miners – Tells the inside story of the heroic efforts to rescue the 33 Chilean miners cut off hundreds of feet underground in the Atacama Desert in 2010 and the desperate race against time to bring the miners back safely to the surface.
Episode 4: Sally Becker – As war raged in Bosnia in the 1990s, Sally Becker, crossed borders to rescue injured children. Shot at, held captive and vilified in the British media, Michael uncovers the true spirit of humanitarianism.
Episode 5: Parkland – Tells of four brave teachers who put their own fears aside to lead their students to safety in the horrific events at Parkland school in 2018 which resulted in the death of 17 pupils and staff.
Episode 6: Erin Brockovich – Erin Brockovich was a penniless single mother working in a small-town law firm, who turned into a household name die to her heroic struggles for justice on environmental issues.
