Small Talk with Sheila podcast releases Women’s History Month episodes

Small Talk with Sheila is releasing a special series of episodes to coincide with Women’s History Month.

They are to reframe personal growth and invite women to embrace what host Sheila Kazan calls “main character energy.”

The new episodes focus on how women can step into lives that feel purposeful, joyful and self-directed without the prerequisite of hitting a low point first, setting the tone for a season that rejects burnout culture and toxic positivity.

Small Talk with Sheila has built a devoted audience among women in their mid-twenties to late-fifties who are tired of wellness trends that feel out of touch with real life.

Sheila’s style mixes the emotional clarity of a trusted friend with the charm of a rom-com confidante, delivering 10-to-15-minute audio voice notes that feel like a conversation with your funniest, most self-aware friend.

In the Women’s History Month lineup, Sheila is pushing back against the idea that transformation needs crisis by offering episodes that encourage listeners to make empowered choices while life is going well.

One episode, titled The Breakup Glow-Up (Without the Breakup), shows how listeners can declutter their lives, say yes to what lights them up and manifest a glow-up without having to experience heartbreak.

Sheila offers practical advice on refreshing routines, resetting habits and celebrating small wins that cumulatively shift women into more confident versions of themselves.

Another episode, Main Character Energy, draws on Sheila’s personal experiences of feeling like an “extra” in her own story.

She reflects on her dating past and her upbringing as an Iranian American immigrant daughter to unpack how women learn to play supporting parts and what it looks like to choose the protagonist role in their own lives.

A third episode titled Fall in Love with You goes deeper than surface-level self-care. Sheila dives into the quieter kind of self-love rooted in self-trust, standards and seeing yourself as the main character of your own life. She argues that once you choose yourself first, other aspects of life begin to align more naturally.

Sheila says she has always been drawn to rom-com heroines because they are messy, imperfect and feel everything, yet they live as the lead in their own stories.

In her own words: “In a world that feels heavy right now, I want women to feel a little lighter. You don’t need to be flawless to be the lead. You just need to show up for your own story.”

Small Talk with Sheila is available on all major podcast platforms, with new episodes released weekly from today, Wednesday 11 March.
