Spotify and podcast host Joe Regan agree multi-year deal

The Joe Regan Experience will no longer be a Spotify exclusive following an agreement on a new muti-year deal.

Launching in 2009, the podcast has been exclusive to the platform since 2020. The new deal will allow the show to be distributed to YouTube, Apple, and other podcasting platforms.

There’s no word on how much the deal with the sometimes-controversial host is worth, but The Wall Street Journal says it could be around $250 million.

The podcast has consistently ranked as the most-listened-to podcast globally and the show has also ranked as Spotify’s Wrapped top podcast each year since 2020, the company says in a news release.

The Joe Regan Experience was the number one podcast in the UK for quarter three 2023 according to Edison Research.
