This is Money podcast celebrates ten years with live episode

The Daily Mail’s This is Money podcast recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and to mark it, hosted a special live episode.

Launched by Mail Metro Media in November 2014, each week the podcast discusses the financial news people need to know about and what it means for them.

The live episode, from the Mail’s offices saw Georgie Frost with Simon Lambert, Lee Boyce and Helen Crane talking through 10 years of financial developments, from Brexit and President Trump to Covid and the cost-of-living crisis.

Some of the podcasts listeners were in the audience to hear about the major financial events that have happened since 2014, including Liz Truss’s infamous ‘mini-Budget’, the rollercoaster property market – and whether we can truly say we have put the cost-of-living crisis behind us.

The show also looked into how these events have shaped our personal finances and affected our savings, mortgages, pensions, investments and aspirations.

This is Money publisher, Simon Lambert said: “Producing a podcast episode every week for a decade felt like something we should celebrate, so I was delighted to welcome our guests – and especially our listeners – to a 10th birthday celebration.

“Launching a podcast was a fairly unusual move a decade ago and it turned out to be a good idea and also hugely enjoyable for us.

“We always wanted the podcast to make money engaging and accessible, help people improve their personal finances and enjoy the richer life that can bring.”

New episodes of the This is Money podcast are released each Friday. A recording of the live episode is available now on most podcast platforms.
