A new podcast series examines the murder of celebrity hairstylist Fabio Sementilli and the investigation that followed.
Sony Music Entertainment has released Cut, Color, Kill, a six-part true crime podcast hosted by Jonathan Hirsch, focusing on the 2017 killing of Fabio Sementilli at his home in Los Angeles.
The series explores how the case developed from what appeared to be a violent home invasion into a more complex investigation involving allegations of conspiracy, a double life and a murder for hire plot.
Across six episodes, the podcast follows events from the immediate aftermath of the attack through to the legal proceedings that unfolded over several years, drawing on police and court records alongside firsthand accounts.
It also examines how the case against Monica Sementilli, Fabio’s wife of nearly 20 years, and her partner Robert Baker was built, while highlighting lingering doubts among some family members.
The production includes interviews, recordings of conversations linked to the case and previously unheard details, offering perspectives from family, friends, colleagues, investigators and prosecutors.
Jonathan Hirsch said: “Fabio’s story is a cautionary tale about a beloved man who experienced a tragic fate at the hands of the person he trusted the most. It’s also the kind of story you could only imagine happening in Hollywood.”
All episodes are available now for subscribers to The Binge, with the series also released across major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
