Golden Lobes shortlist highlights comedy podcasts and talent

Comedian-led podcasts dominate the shortlist for this year’s Golden Lobes, with several established names and independent creators recognised.

Nominations for the 2026 Golden Lobes Podcast Awards have been announced, focusing on comedy podcasts, creators and standout moments across the audio industry.

Leading the field is Sam Lake’s I’ve Had A Rosé, Let’s Talk About Feelings, which has secured six nominations, including The Big Ears Award for Funniest Show of the Year.

Other nominees reflect a mix of live shows, new formats and individual contributions. Tom Davis and Romesh Ranganathan are shortlisted for Best Live Show with Wolf and Owl, while Olga Koch and Catherine Bohart receive a Best New Show nomination for Tonsil Hockey.

Stuart Goldsmith is recognised in the Behind The Scenes Hero category for The Comedian’s Comedian Podcast. In the Best Listener Moment category, Pierre Novellie, Sarah Keyworth and Glenn Moore are nominated for Button Boys.

Sir Andy Murray is also included among the nominees, shortlisted for Best Guest for his appearance on The Romesh Ranganathan Show.

Now in its second year, the Golden Lobes are produced by the team behind Cheerful Earful, an international podcast festival that runs across three continents.

Winners will be announced on 6 May at The Clapham Grand in London. Hosting will be led by Jake Bhardwaj and Max Fosh, with additional appearances from podcast and comedy figures during the ceremony.

Giles Gear, founder of Cheerful Earful, said: “It’s genuinely heartwarming to see independent podcasters sharing the spotlight with publishing powerhouses and household-name comedians.

“This year’s shortlist once again proves that the Lobes are a real level playing field. I can’t wait for a proper knees-up this May!”

Alongside trophies, winners will receive prizes including studio time, subscriptions, industry promotion and live show filming support from partners and sponsors.
