Emily Blackwell’s Mother Half returns for season two with Sophie Habboo

The second season of Emily Blackwell’s Mother Half podcast has launched with special guest, Sophie Habboo.

Emily joined Made in Chelsea eight years ago and is now a household name. She launched a podcast with her mum Rachel where they show their unique mother/daughter relationship. They offer each other advice and answer listener dilemmas.

In the first episode of season two, guest Sophie is reunited with her Made in Chelsea bestie, and the pair discuss life on the reality show, Sophie’s wedding day regret, babies and Jamie’s fake tan!

Sophie explains what she misses about the reality TV show, when she had no responsibilities: “I woke up, I look at my schedule, I go to film,” she says. “We’d probably go out for lunch, get a bit pi***d, we got a night out on a Tuesday then we’d come home and eat, sleep, repeat.”

She says she doesn’t miss the anxiety and her life is more chilled without the show.

As far as her wedding is concerned, she says it was great but stressful and anxiety provoking.

“Looking back on it, I’m like, that was the best day ever. I wish I’d sort of not let the pressure, my imaginary pressure, get the better of me, because really, it is such an amazing day.

The problem was that the ceremony wasn’t until 7pm so she was exhausted because she’d been nervous all day.

On plans for a family, she says: “I definitely want a family, I’m really broody, and Jamie wants babies but then if you give him a baby, he’s very unnatural. But it’s different when it’s your own and I also think he’s not been around many babies. He is godfather to a lot of kids, though, and they’ve done well doing that – he gives good presents!”

Then Jamie’s fake tan came up: So, when I get my tan, I leave it on for an hour or two, but he leaves it on for eight hours – he sleeps in it. I’m like, you’re not meant to do that, it will keep developing, and then it’s just stinky. It’s just a mess. He thinks he looks so good, but he is honestly so orange. I don’t know what happens to him.”
