New look for How To Fail with Elizabeth Day in latest series

How To Fail with Elizabeth Day is launching its twentieth series with the start of a partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.

The new partnership will include a subscription offering with Apple Podcasts with additional episodes every week and ad-free listening. There will also be more content across social media and YouTube.

In 2018, Elizabeth Day was experiencing a series of setbacks. Her personal life felt at odds with her work as a journalist, asking celebrities about their many successes and accolades for national papers. Instead, she wanted to start conversations about failure and how they can lead to good.

She drew the podcast artwork with a felt tip pen and eBayed the wedding dress from her ‘failed’ first marriage to fund the first series – and How To Fail with Elizabeth Day was born.

Today, Elizabeth is one of the UK’s top podcasters with over 200 published episodes, reaching more than 45 million downloads and topping the Apple and Spotify podcast charts.

Guests to date include some of the world’s most influential people, including Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Stanley Tucci, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Bernie Sanders, Gillian Anderson, Andrew Scott and Greta Thunberg.

Every week, guests share three failures with Elizabeth and explore what they have taught them about how to grow and succeed, better.

Elizabeth says: “It’s been the privilege of my life to grow How to Fail over the last five years and now I’m excited to embark on this new phase of evolution.

“I can promise every single How to Fail fan that this will still be the place where vulnerability can be shared, where resilience can be celebrated and where failure is simply an opportunity to ask a new question.”

The new series launches weekly from Wednesday 24 January when Elizabeth interviews a much-loved actor and filmmaker.
